Why?

So, I thought I would see if can arrange a tweetup for the people of Reading who, like me, are over the age of 35.

Some questions to be answered.

Why 35? No reason, it was just the first thought that came to my head when I was thinking of an age.

Why over 35? Well if your like me and consider yourself a social person, I tend to like to mix with those I have more in common with. Not that there is anything wrong with people under the age of 35, it is just that I am more likely to have more in common with those over that age and would hope that if this were to prove successful it was for this reason.

But there already other tweetups in Reading! Yes, I know and this is not meant to be in any way, shape or form designed to detract from those. But for any social group to be successful it  has to a common theme and I hope that others feel the same as I do.

So, when is the first one going to happen? Well, first I need to really get a feel for how many people are interested in meeting up. It is a big step for some to come from in front of a screen to actually meet others face to face so I suspect it will be sometime in July.

Is this an excuse to go to a bar? Not really no. I would hope that we can use different venues to meet and a bar maybe one but not exclusive.

Right, so that’s the plan and I guess now I have to just get on with it and start!
